BOJACK speaks on the ‘basic’ in all of us. We’re presented with a beachy, upbeat track containing melodies reminiscent of the Trinidadian Steel Pan. “Fuck your conversation man, I need that paper…Sorry I’m basic but you know you are too.” When I hear the hook, I can’t help but sing along. While most won’t admit it, we all have an anthem for our ‘American Dream’ and B0JACK’s is unapologetically one of the better ones. While Getting money and blowing everything else off is no way to live…in the long term. I find, especially in the United States, there is a subconscious drive to keep grinding and well…get money.
