“Addicted” [flip]
RON the SOLO “whoa” GOD is an up and coming, lyrical mastermind and musical renaissance man. While you may never catch him as the loudest voice in the room, he’s probably the deepest. That is physically and mentally, mind you.
Ron’s newest single “Addicted [flip]” will leave you wanting more, as the beat of this oh so classic sample eases past your eardrums. The first half is written prose, speaking on frustrations with being a lyrical artist in a world where beat reigns supreme. There are moments of meta-lyricism that honestly take a few listens to really get. For instance, his use of double entendre in the first verse describes double negatives in his literal words and in the way he presents himself to the world.
Ron is confident, not cocky. In fact, this single was partially freestyled. It isn’t blatantly stated and it shouldn’t matter.
STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN to his portfolio and you will find recurring tones and themes but each track tackles a different style. Producing his own music, Ron gains a creative advantage that allows him to fully explore creative avenues. Most of what we’ve heard from RONSOLO so far has incorporated some form of augmented vocals and spacey beats (RoSes EP). However, Ron valiantly jumps into the ring as a rookie lyricist and fights like Maximus to gain his title. If your’e fuckin’ with this joint now, imagine him later…
