BRUHMANEGOD on left, H E A L on right

Caleb Parker, a.k.a. H E A L…What can I say about this man…I found him via SoundCloud a couple of years ago, listening to some Midnight Society artists. His personality speaks through his beats, confident, hard, and dark at times, but very real.

As I went deeper I realized he rapped as well. And I have to say..The flow is there and the lyrics are solid! I was taken back by the pure energy eminating from my speakers. Not only are his lyrics spat hard and compliment the beat, but he speaks only truth. Whether H E A L is speaking on a struggle or using metaphor and hyperbole, it all comes from within himself and you can feel that raw energy in all of his tracks.

While H E A L has always been a heavy hitter on the production side, working with artists such as CRAIG XEN, ZOTiYAC, and KILLSTACY, he began exposing his lyrical side more and more since the beginning of 2018. The first song I found produced and rapped by him, “Momma Ain’tRaise No Bitch” was on repeat for the rest of the week. To this day I can’t help but play this track when someone asks “Who is H E A L?”.

Listening to Back 2 Back Hip Hop’s exclusive interview with H E A L I find out he is a believer in Jesus Christ, which is respectable as a rapper, regardless of your beliefs. He talks on haters, ‘the drive’ and the meanings behind some of the lyrics in his songs. At times a bit cocky, I find H E A L to be a diamond in the ROUGH. He speaks about what he knows about…take it from “Taco Bell and Cigarettes”, a track about his time in college. Funny at times and quite a slice of life. Spend a little time with his SoundCloud page.

At first glance, you would be surprised to find he his an avid believer in God and the Holy Ghost. Often times his lyrics and tone are dark and ominous feeling but I believe that represents real emotions and sometimes rage. He states in the interview, he is often hard on himself to a fault but he knows it is also what gives him such an impeccable drive. Unfortunately, this hyper-critical view of himself (or others) can lead him to remove some of his music from SoundCloud which is a shame. Perhaps they will be back up, but time can only tell…. H E AL can be found on SoundCloud and twitter.
